Thus Saith The Rick: Foot In Mouth & Bad Company

Editors Note:
Due to the frequency of undivine revelations coming from the lips of the notsomighty Rick Warren and the way that people are accepting his words as authority; we here at SAID Radio have decided to make this an ongoing segment that will now be known as “Thus Saith the Rick.”

There seems to never be a dull moment for Rick Warren nowadays between his Twitter and Pastors.com website. For those familiar with Rick it will not come as a surprise that he would share such a post:
Rick links his Tweet audience over to this website:

Why is Rick Warren posting up a Tweet about his favorite Catholic Preacher? And why link to a website that announces a Roman Catholic Archbishop's "sainthood" being approved by the Pope?

A simple reading of the article Rick links to demonstrates Rick's view on Roman Catholics. It is Biblically true that we should show Roman catholics the love of Christ but let us not confuse that with embracing them in ecumenical endeavors. They have a different Jesus (2 Corinthians 11:4) and a different Gospel (Galatians 1:8).

Here are some great websites to learn more about Roman Catholicism and the concerns with it.:

Fraternizing with Roman Catholics is nothing new for Warren:

Our next Rick Tweet reads:

I find this very hard to believe he would state such a thing when he decides he can re-organize scripture by swapping Acts 1:6-8 and Matthew 24:3 to force Jesus to say "prophecy is none of our business" and covers his error by telling people to evangelize. It is important to evangelize, but don't be fooled by the lie of Rick concerning prophecy as listed in his "Purpose Driven Life".  Anybody who reads their Bible would really be puzzled by Rick's conclusion on Acts 1:6-8 especially when they see Peter filled with the Holy Spirit mentioning a prophecy from the Book of Joel in Acts 2:16-21. I find it very alarming that you would accuse people of something you have done yourself. Mr. Warren this is being hypocritical and the Bible says you are to remove the plank from your own eye before you can remove the speck from your brothers eye (Matthew 7:3-5). Let us continue to pray that Rick would repent of these things and that those who are being misled by him can hear the truth. Contrary to the many allegations we will receive for posting this ongoing series, we are not trying to just attack Rick but we do want people to be aware what is going on and some of the dangerous things he is saying in light of scripture.
