Billy Graham's Ecumenical Unity

Billy Graham posted this picture today on his Facebook in memory of 9/11. The tragedy of 9/11 is one that will not be forgotten. Even though prayer was what was being offered and needed to families and people affected by the events, we see unbiblical prayer finding its way into the mix as demonstrated by the picture above.
One may ask, "Unbiblical in what way?" Well lets take a look at the National Cathedral (the place and people involved in the prayer):

This is a screen shot of what was on their front page today concerning 9/11. The statement under "Remembering 9/11" reads: “As we consider the events of 9/11, we must dedicate ourselves anew to the kind of understanding and compassion that links nations and faiths through the bonds our Creator has established.” —The Rev. Dr. Francis H. Wade, interim dean. "  If we want to link up bonds based on what the Creator has established than we need to start with the Word of God. As mentioned in the quote, this call for ecumenical unity is blatant throughout using a broad term such as "Creator" and also tugs at emotions by using 9/11 as the baseline in which we should "bond" together. The second post on the page lifts up the heretical Catholic "Eucharist" (To understand more about issues with the Eucharist check out this sermon: "Unless You Eat This Flesh - Jacob Prasch" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSmiGJH89Xc) and even list a women preacher (violation of 1 Timothy 2:12). Now for the person out there that thinks I am taking the front page out of context consider the "About Us" page found on the National Cathedral website  :

This place encourages ecumenical unity which only advocates the promotion of a one world religion. Any Bible believer should be wary of this group.  But yet as Billy mentioned (in the photo on his Facebook), three days after 9/11 he found himself holding hands praying with other people there in that very place. Who can say amen when there are people of other faiths etc. praying to other gods? I have no problem praying that these men would repent and seek Jesus (the true God) but to pray together is outright dangerous.
Billy chose to re-post this up on his Facebook page today and maybe some of you were already aware of this compromise but for those of you who have been unaware please pray for Billy that he will repent and turn away from such things. Consider the words of the prophet Amos: "Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?" - Amos 3:3

Consider the importance of such concern for Billy Graham as John MacArthur explains it well:

What is it about compromise and ecumenical unity that have so many Christians getting caught up in this? My answer is a lack of reading and clinging to the Scriptures. Let's reach out to these confused people but let us not walk in compromise. Let us cling to the word of God.

"14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”
17 Therefore
“Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.”
18 “I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the Lord Almighty.”
 - 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

It's very important that you clearly understand that the inclusion of any guest interviewed on SAID radio or any link from anywhere within SAIDradio.net or ccodtruth.org web site does not necessarily imply our endorsement of that ministry, resource, or organization featured regarding anything that it does or teaches. The only endorsement that is worthwhile is that which is in alignment with biblical truth. It's our position that we can agree or disagree with you, you can agree or disagree with us, but only so far as it agrees or disagrees with God's Word.
Whilst recognizing the good fruit from linked sites or special guests, we cannot vouch for their every belief. As with all things in this world, the onus is upon you to check out each site and to exercise spiritual discretion, testing everything (even us) against the Word of God (1 Thes. 5:21)

  1. Very sad that our remnant is so small; however, when I see false teachers I wonder how they can take God's Word so non-challantly, they seem to ignore passages such as James 3:1 "Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment.".........and how God started His destruction with the false prophets in Ezekiel 9:6 "Utterly slay old men, young men, maidens, little children, and women, but do not touch any man on whom is the mark; and you shall start from My sanctuary.” So they started with the elders who were before the temple.".......God is NOT pleased!

  2. Only Yeshua will bring peace to Israel, not a temple! He is the temple that was destroyed and raised up in three days!! Oy va voy!

  3. God bless this was great

  4. Thank you, this was very edifying! Especially the video BILLY GRAHAM : The Man and His Message [Talk By Cecil Andrews]. But at the same time it is sad seeing how self-deceived Billy Graham is and to think of the many deceived Calvary Chapel Pastors (that I have heard personally) that esteem Billy Graham so highly in their sermons on a regular basis, using Billy Graham as an example of a "godly man." It seems to me, the blind are leading the blind who are then leading their sheep, right off the cliff. We need to continue to get the word out and expose these works of darkness!
