Interview With Mike LeMay

It's very important that you clearly understand that the inclusion of any guest interviewed on SAID radio or any link from anywhere within or web site does not necessarily imply our endorsement of that ministry, resource, or organization featured regarding anything that it does or teaches. The only endorsement that is worthwhile is that which is in alignment with biblical truth. It's our position that we can agree or disagree with you, you can agree or disagree with us, but only so far as it agrees or disagrees with God's Word.
Whilst recognizing the good fruit from linked sites or special guests, we cannot vouch for their every belief. As with all things in this world, the onus is upon you to check out each site and to exercise spiritual discretion, testing everything (even us) against the Word of God (1 Thes. 5:21)

A Loving Commandment

As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine, nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith. Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm.
(1 Timothy 1:3-7)

Paul here gives us very important information on doctrine. Sadly, too many people take this out of context because they focus on the section that says “ the purpose of this commandment is love from a pure heart...” and then point to the commandment that Christ gave: that we should love the God with all our heart soul and minds and love others as ourselves. This is NOT what this is talking about.

What is the commandment that Paul gave here? It is to teach no other doctrine or to listen to fables or endless genealogies! Paul, in giving this commandment to teach the pure doctrine of the Bible was doing so from a motive of love! This is a loving commandment, not a hateful one!  He had a loving heart for those who strayed, those who thought themselves to be teachers of the law, but understand not what they teach! Today, there are so many false teachers, so many people teaching false doctrine! We need to have the same heart that Paul did!

This leads me to this section in this chapter:
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. Thisis a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
(1 Timothy 1:12-17)

Paul gives us this commandment because he knows where he came from. He once also spoke out against things he did not understand. God saved him, the chief of sinners! Not only that, Christ came to save you and came to save me! But if Christ could save an ignorant fool like Paul, can he not save and bring back to repentance some of these false teachers that are in our world today?

This morning as I was reading this, I was thinking about the reputation some people have begun to put upon this watchman ministry. This ministry and others like it have been accused of being hateful, of tearing down the body of Christ, of wanting to accuse everyone of what is wrong, and of causing division. But I want you to see my heart in this matter! The Apostle Paul himself was a false teacher and murderer of Christians! Yet, Christ had mercy on him! I am sure many people were praying for Paul before he was saved and it blew them away when he did come to know the Lord! I feel the same way for many of these teachers going into error.

I have the same heart Paul did. First off, I realize that I am a sinner myself in need of a Savior and realize that I am also prone to fall into error. I like Paul realize that Christ has saved me and brought me into a glorious relationship with him! But also like Paul, I correct, exhort and rebuke out of love from the Scriptures. The Scriptures are truth, and we test all things against God's Word, not our own opinions. The Scriptures command us to rebuke, exhort and correct out of love. Love and truth are not mutually exclusive. If you love someone you will tell them the truth!
Because of this, I pray everyday that false preachers and people going into error would repent, that God would grant them repentance! What a great thing it would be if some of these men would humble themselves and confess their sins before people and come back to Him! False teachings lead to great punishment for these men, perhaps even hell. But as Spurgeon once said: “...let them leap to hell over our bodies. And if they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees, imploring them to stay.”

This is what we do. We desire that all come to faith in Christ, and desire that all stay away from false doctrine. I encourage you to read both 1 and 2 Timothy, and see how Paul stresses the importance of staying away from error and calling out those who do so that others will not follow suit. People may hate us, people may call you names, and later people may even persecute you. But let it be known that Christ died not only for our sins, but also for theirs. He desires that all be saved and that all come out of wickedness and error. Let us remember this as we walk with the Lord today!

A Baptist Youth Group & "Call Me Maybe": Conforming to This World

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." - Romans 12:1-2

It's sadly apparent that much of the Church is being influenced/ impacted by the world in various degrees. It was supposed to be the other way around and yet many Christians do not live any different than the unbelievers in the world. The Biblical picture is that we see the disciples through the working of the Holy Spirit turning the world upside down with the Gospel (Acts 17:6). Being a fan of evangelizing/open air preaching on the L.A. Metro it is sad to see that the labors as told would be few (Matthew 9:37) and yet we pray for the Lord to bring more laborers (Matthew 9:38). Instead of us impacting the world for Jesus we see the world impacting the Church.

This brings us to a video Titled "Call Me Maybe - Summer Camp 2012" that was put together by the youth and some staff from "Colonial Heights Baptist Church" ( The video displays the youth group dancing and singing along to a secular song "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen. This is very sad especially when you compare the lyrics to scripture as I have done so below the video. Here's the video:

Billy Graham's Ecumenical Unity

Billy Graham posted this picture today on his Facebook in memory of 9/11. The tragedy of 9/11 is one that will not be forgotten. Even though prayer was what was being offered and needed to families and people affected by the events, we see unbiblical prayer finding its way into the mix as demonstrated by the picture above.
One may ask, "Unbiblical in what way?" Well lets take a look at the National Cathedral (the place and people involved in the prayer):

Universe of Color

"What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?

For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor."
Psalm 8:4-5

Do we realize who we are?  Man thinks so highly of himself.  I have heard it said that in the last hundred or so years that man has advanced 5,000 years as far as technology is concerned.  Ipads, iPhones, computers, television.  Many amazing things.  Last week I was at Disneyland and saw the "World of Color" light show.  Such amazing things man can create; beautiful things using only water and light.  But the truth is, before even man thought of such a thing, God had already created it!  The water vapors, gases and lights throughout the universe are a concoction more beautiful than anything even we could do!  But yet, man boasts so much, a speck sitting on a speck!

But despite our insignificance in all this God did think of us.  Who did he make a little lower than the angels?  Hebrews tells us that it was Christ, His only Son!  Colossians also tells us that Christ created all things.  The universe, the cosmic light show you see every time you look up and marvel at the stars at night was created by Him!  He was the mastermind behind it, it was His mind which conceived and created these things.  He was the Word of God that spoke these things into existence.  And yet, despite the greatness and Majesty of this God of ours, He decided to come down to earth.  Why?  Because He created a beloved creation whom He wanted to love Him and obey Him.  But because He loved his creation so much He gave it free will, and in it's free will it decided to disobey Him.

This creation (man) has done wicked and dastardly things.  Taking life it does not create, stealing, cursing it's very creator and going against God's very image.  Because of this God has to punish man.  A loving God is a just God.  A loving and just Judge does not let evil go unpunished.  This punishment comes in the form of eternal death in hell.  But let's not forget that hell was not created for man, rather; it was created for Satan and his angels.  But God looks at us even better than the angels.  Though we sin, God provided salvation for us in the form of His Son on the cross.  These demonic spirits do not gain such a privilege.

You see, God punished His Only Son.  His Son took our place and experienced hell for us.  He experienced our sin and  the wrath of God upon His shoulders. In that moment, Jesus called out, "My God why have you forsaken Me?"  In that moment The Father could not look upon the Son because His Son became the sin of all mankind.  Jesus Christ who was God Himself humbled Himself to the point of death, even death on the Cross.  Jesus said that whoever humbled himself would be exalted.  The lowest servant would be the greatest in the Kingdom.  Through the death of the cross, Jesus proved Himself to be the greatest servant who ever existed.  The awesome God of the universe came down as a little baby and grew up as a man.  An infinite being had to trust the finite arms of the woman who bore Him, that they would hold Him, feed Him and care for Him.  The all-powerful God capable of calling angels to His side silently stood by and said not a word as He was arrested and falsely accused.

Because of such humility He is highly exalted.  He is crowned with glory and honor and He sits at the right hand of His Father and He beckons us to come to Him.  The only way to come to Him is with a humble heart.  We must believe in what He did and repent; have a complete change of mind, heart and actions away from our wickedness and sin and turn back to Him.  He wants to have the fellowship with us that he had originally planned in the Garden.  It is still possible, but only if we accept what He has done for us on the cross.

The Domionist/Latter Rain Connection

(Original article appears here:, and is posted courtesy of Lanette Roessler)

I want to start off saying that we did not mention anything concerning the charismatic kingdom now/Latter rain movement. This movement clothes itself in Dominion theology they believe that the kingdom began in 70 A.D. with the destruction of the Nation  Israel.  These Dominionist  kingdom now/latter rain believe "God"  speaks new revelations to them through dreams, visions and extra so called biblical revelations; However, their visions on how to conquer this nation changes often with each new revelation. Their doctrine is more self based than Bible based. It really is determined by the latest pop leader people are following within the charismatic or apostolic realm. A common theme within these groups is the word "New". God is doing a "new thing," "New Breed", a "New reformation", a "new Change" is coming. In other words the Bible is not adhered to but the visions and dreams, along with someone hearing a voices from God through what they call the "Holy Spirit anointing"
The MFI or Ministers Fellowship International is an important player of the Latter rain/domionist movement. The MIF came out of Portland Bible College in Oregon. I use to live in Portland and we had a very difficult time avoiding the latter rain churches.  Dick Iverson a TBN ( Trinity Broadcasting Network) darling for many years wrote "Present Day Truths" a book that was actually created by the Bible College used as a sort of text Book for the movement. However, between  1947 and 1957 huge revivals took place many of them led by pentecostal leader Oral Roberts founder of Oral Roberts University. Roberts was another TBN favorite this revival was centered on Healing and the Manifestation of  what they called the "Holy Spirit". During this time Roberts put great emphasis on healing . It is said by many that Oral Roberts brought the pentecostal movement into acceptable mainstream Christianity. This opened the floodgates for many false teachers to rise up claiming they hear from God, and have the power to do the works of Jesus even raising the dead. Many of these apostate leaders have now began to set dates for the end of the world.  Back in the 80's on National television Oral Roberts asked for $8 million or God would kill him. He did pass away in 2009. I have only scratched the surface of this heresy so please visit the other web site such as herescope for more information on this subject. Type in Latter rain on their search site.
